When Good Sprinklers Go Bad
On Labor Day, residents of 77 12th, an Atlanta luxury high-rise, were awakened by a loud boom, followed by a cascade of water rushing into their apartments. A six-inch fire sprinkler riser on the 13th floor had burst, flooding everything beneath it and forcing many residents to evacuate their homes. EPIC quickly came alongside the property owner and worked with their insurer to create a plan for immediate restorative action. Throughout the process EPIC partnered closely with the property’s construction manager, Jesse Hultberg, to restore the apartments and return residents back to their homes.
"Jesse recalls that it was EPIC’s knowledge of insurance claims and a high standard of work quality that allowed him to rest assured."
“When something bad happens, I know I’m calling EPIC,” he says. “In stressful situations, I have someone I can depend on.”
For the residents of 77 12th, the story ends happily: they were restored safely to their homes within a month, and their peace of mind has been fully restored as well.
