Incident Command

From single-car accidents to large-scale disasters, emergency management is not business as usual. It often requires cooperation among multiple responders and several agencies. In an emergency, you and other personnel may be in a position to help with the response.

In this course you will gain general knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) – the national management framework that is used by national emergency response personnel. You will learn how you and your team can use ICS to manage all types of incidents and conduct planned client events.

At Epic, we believe in the structure and preparation of Incident Command so much that all our team members are required to complete this course. We implement the ICS framework during everyday jobs, large losses and catastrophic deployment.

Other topics discussed: preparing your property or business for emergencies, ICS back-up plan, and effective use of ICS for disasters.
